Honoring the teachers who help kids fall in love with reading.
Every year on World Teachers’ Day, we pause to celebrate the incredible impact teachers make. They’re the everyday heroes who spark curiosity, nurture confidence and help kids discover the joy of reading.
This year, as part of our World Teachers’ Day 2025 celebration, we’re thrilled to welcome a new group of educators into the Epic Educator Ambassador Program—a global community of teachers inspiring readers and transforming classrooms every single day.
What It Means to Be an Epic Educator Ambassador
The Epic Educator Ambassador Program isn’t just a title—it’s a vibrant space where educators collaborate, share ideas and shape the future of Epic for students around the world.
It’s a community of passionate literacy ambassadors dedicated to empowering kids through reading and learning, while bolstering best practices across the teaching profession. Learn more about the program here!
A Celebration of Educators Who Make Magic Happen
The 2025–26 Epic Educator Ambassadors come from every corner of the world. Some teach in small rural schools, others in bustling city classrooms. But they all have this in common: they know books can change lives, and they help make that change happen every single day.
This year, over 600 educators from 36 U.S. states and 14 countries joined the program. They’re classroom teachers, literacy leads, media specialists and tech coaches—and they all believe in the life-changing power of books.
So, how do teachers inspire kids to love reading every day? Meet a few of this year’s inspiring Ambassadors:
Moulay Larbi Arbaoui
English Teacher | Fez, Morocco
With 19 years of experience and a passion for inspiring young writers, Moulay uses Epic not just in his classroom, but as a cornerstone of a district-wide digital reading strategy. “Epic is more than just a library—it’s a gateway to literacy, creativity and lifelong learning,” he says. He’s helping students find their voices and their stories.

Juliana Correa da Silva
Lower Primary Teacher | Adria International School, Croatia
Every morning in Juliana’s class starts the same way: with a book. “It sets the tone for the day,” she says. Her students track their reading each month and friendly competition fuels their excitement. “They get so excited to outdo their own progress—and each other!”

Anjuna Menon
PYP Educator | Global Indian International School, Singapore
Anjuna builds entire curriculum units around Epic. She curates collections tied to classroom inquiries and lets students explore. “It gives my students access to thousands of high-interest books that are just right for their reading levels,” she says. Learning becomes personal. Joyful. Real.

Andy Yung
Pre-K Teacher | PS244Q, Queens, NY
Andy describes Epic as a “lifesaver” during the pandemic. Now, back in person, he projects books onto the smartboard for class-wide discussions. “Epic doesn’t just support early literacy,” he says. “It supports joy.”

Sara Anne Davis
Elementary Teacher | Castle Heights ES, Tennessee
Teaching in urban schools, Sara sees firsthand how books can transform a student’s life. “Epic is equitable,” she says. “My language learners feel confident exploring books that speak to their interests.” From social studies to self-discovery, every book becomes a bridge.

Tiffany Krummel
K–2 Teacher | Laura Woodward ES, Ohio
Tiffany loves watching her students take charge of their learning. “They’re especially into the how-to videos — it’s amazing to see how much they can learn just by following their own curiosity.” With Epic, free time turns into discovery time.

Riley Dodge
4th Grade Teacher | Wheeling, West Virginia
Epic helps Riley meet students at their level—literally. “I can assign books that match where they’re at while still covering the content we’re learning about.” For early finishers, Epic is a reward. For curriculum tie-ins? A game-changer. “We’re still hitting the standards, just in a way that’s fun and flexible.”

Anna Rummel
Primary School Teacher | Landstuhl, Germany
Anna uses Epic to launch new units—like ecosystems—with curated collections that match her students’ levels and interests. “Epic supports differentiated learning beautifully,” she says. “And more importantly, it helps nurture a genuine love of reading.”

A Community That Keeps Growing
The best part of this program? It’s not just for new faces. This year, we have several educators returning to be ambassadors.
Educators like Jinal Vira, from Oberoi International School in Mumbai, are returning for another year. “What I loved most was the sense of community and collaboration,” she said. “It gave us a platform to exchange ideas, learn from one another and feel connected.”

That’s what makes the Epic Educator Ambassador program so special. It’s a true global teacher community where literacy champions come together to support one another and share real classroom wisdom.
It’s all about connection, support and a shared purpose.
Behind Every Young Reader is a Teacher Who Believed in Them
Reading doesn’t always come easily. But when a teacher finds the just-right book… when they say, “You can do this”… when they celebrate a child’s progress one page at a time—that’s when everything changes.
“Epic is quite honestly the only way I could get my own kids and my students in special education to love or even begin reading,” said Stephanie Ruyle, a new ambassador from Rochester Elementary School, EC-1 in Rochester, Illinois.
For so many kids, reading isn’t just about books. It’s about trust and encouragement. World Teachers’ Day matters for students and schools because it’s a chance to honor the people who show up, believe in them and help open the door to lifelong learning.

To Every Epic Educator: We See You. We Thank You.
The before-school prep. The guided reading groups. The scribbled notes of encouragement.
You do it all! Not for applause, but because you believe in kids. And because you know that a story can open a door—and you hold the key.
This World Teachers’ Day, we celebrate YOU. You’re not just helping kids read. You’re helping them believe!
