At Epic, we promise to uphold high standards of privacy for you and your students, so you can focus on what matters most: reading and learning!
You won’t see third party advertising on Epic School.
Epic does not sell student data. We don’t use students' personal information for advertising or marketing.
Epic School is designed to comply with applicable federal and state children and student privacy laws, including COPPA and FERPA, and to help our schools meet their own compliance obligations. We partner with schools to help keep kids safe while they independently explore the Epic library and develop a love of reading and learning.
Epic only collects the minimum personal information necessary to provide the best possible experience of the Epic School platform for both educators and students and we use this data only to provide our service to schools, students, and parents. For example, we may use data to allow teachers to monitor student progress, suggest content or assignments, or permit parents and guardians to review their children’s work.
Students are not permitted to create an Epic School account. All students must be invited to an Epic classroom roster by a teacher or school administrator. Only teachers can enter student information, like first and last names and learning levels, but may choose to allow students to enter their own first name and last initial to their profile.
Our dedicated team uses physical, technological and administrative security measures to help keep your information safe and protected.
We’ll always be transparent about our practices and if anything changes, we’ll be sure to let you know.
